  • Oi! So I Messed Up The Rest of the Day

Had a snack around 5pm of a Jamaican beef patty from Golden Krust. Needed protein, thought itd be a good choice. Except the damn things are just a crapload of shortening and dough! Barely any beef in there.

Then went to the gym. Had a solid 60 minutes on the exercise bike on a hill/valley program along with a half hour of weightlifting. Hit 110 pounds on the bicep press for the first time - stoked on that count.

Came home to make dinner. Had salad w/ lettuce, cukes, tomato in an olive oil-zaatar-and-lemon juice dressing and two grilled chicken thighs, along with 1 piece of beef jerky. Dessert was one small dark chocolate cookie.

Walked a total of 3.35 miles and did 1056 aerobic steps today.

Not good, not bad, not terrible.

  • I Fucked Up This Weekend

Not going to get into gluttony specifics. At one point or another, this weekend involved:

    - An omelette with ham and cheese that was dowsed in… yup… chili sauce.
    - Flatbread sandwiches from Marlow & Sons topped with grilled rabbit and crazy aioli-sauce things
    - Turkish feta cheese pastries
    - Whole Foods platters filled with pulled pork, quinoa and bok choy.

On the bright side, I was able to ease into Week 3 of Couch-to-5k with no problems. I never imagined I’d be able to do that. The first week, my body felt like hell - and now I’m able to do that. This is an achievement.
